Kitten's Cradle

-- Sanity is Relative

Spastic Insanity actually (believe it or not) started out as a very light-hearted and childish comic. Then, as I grew, Mayple became rather confused and tormented. The way the comic was going, it did not match up with the mood of the beginning at all. Thus, I rewrote it.

Spastic Insanity went through three versions, the last being Kitten's Cradle.

In the first , Mayple was a slightly spazzy Wiccan. I wrote the comic with the Wiccan Rede in mind, and other than slapstick violence, it was a bright and cheery little story about Mayple trying to get along with her more serious and adult coven.

In the Second , Mayple wasn't Wiccan anymore. Rather, it was the flavor of "Sabrina: the teenage Witch" what with all magic and no religion. Mayple couldn't control her magic simply because she had far too much power to handle. A 'familiar' (actually a demon) sent her after the Demon Lord Seth on accident, and she ended up transformed and in a parrallel universe.

In the Current version , Mayple is tormented by a second soul, and is often posessed by it. Her magic often shuts itself off, leaving her at the most inoppurtune moments. Familiars won't get near her in order to control her magic because of the second soul, and though this depresses her, she acts as though she glories in it.

No, you aren't supposed to like her. If you do, that's terrific, but I'm not gonna destroy her character just so readers will like her/him.

*sigh* Yes, Summer (the elf) is a guy. He was acutally more guy-ish in the second version where he bounced around and acted like an idiot ... Sad, ne?

If you should get confused anytime during the comic, that is to be expected. Its already been proven to me that some people just can't follow my train of thought. Comfort yourself by remembering that this comic is from Mayple's pov, and she is insane(ish).
